Grand Opening – It’s Blogtastic!
Posted on: June 16, 2009
Hey all welcome to my grand opening sorry the wine is not “top shelf” but i am on a budget…
This blog, I hope, will be, a useful tool for collecting tips, tutorials, rants, news and well.. anything enhancing to the world of design… (did that sentence read like a Captain Kirk line?)
First off i will show you a glipse of what i am doing at this moment on earth (as well as blatantly advertising some of my shirts). I will then slowly evolve this into a type of “Design Jazz bar / magazine”…
My back ground is Graphic Design and Multimedia (these are titles.. .if people ask you what you do you can just say “oh i am in multimedia” and they are supposed to go “ah… ok how about that local sports team?”).
I have a love of all thinks musical, design, cartooning, doodling, t shirt / skateboard design, animation, the world, of actually getting a weekend off to just sit in nature with a coffee and my family… who by the way are exceedingly cute. I have a lovely partner and Overlord baby girl. [When i visit their house I try and just smile and nod at her... and give her all my snacks and slowly back away.. as to stay alive - Ed]
I live in Aotearoa (New Zealand) kinda south of the south in the southern hemisphere… its winter here (yes its physically possible to have winter while you have summer, before you crease your brow in northern ignorance….
– [ he's joking... honestly he's a nice guy...ahem...cough - Ed]
At the moment I am working for the man as a Graphic Monkey. My true passion is more the uplifting theraputic hippy side to art / design and less about selling units… but you learn to balance work and fun after a while…
Below is a smidgin of what i am doing at the moment on Redbubble.com (T-shirts mainly)
CANVAS / CARD / POSTER ART on Redbubble.com
Cheers for your time, stay tuned for some neat tutorials, interviews, rants, songs about whales and whatever will keep you reading…
Peace out and get out them crayons…
